Best LED Grow Lights of 2020 Comparison & Review Test Using Laboratory Data

We're doing something no one has ever done before -- well, sort of. Each LED company who takes their craft seriously focuses on buying high quality components that will last a long time (read: not fail within 2 years) and have high efficiency/output ratings. To test LED grow lights comprehensively, you really need to send them to a laboratory that will will run the light through a battery of instrumentation. Each test from these companies is not cheap. For all the testing that we're requesting, the bill can run up to about $1,500 per light. This was no cheap endeavor, but we wanted to create the most unbiased, comprehensive, and informative comparison review test on the web. HLG LED Grow Light 225w Elite Reviewed and Unboxed by Horticulture Lighting Group

Horticultural Lighting Groups (HLG) 225, by the same makers of the HLG Quantum Board style LED grow lights. 225 as in 225 watts it has. This is a cool little light that I got shipped to me by HLG and it’s really made to be a replacement for a lot of the 315 watt CMH lights out there. It will come with a fixed spectrum right at about 4000K, but it also has added 630nm and 660nm red and deep red so that you really get a full spectrum (good for both veg and flower). This HLG 225 LED light will work well if you have a 2’ x 2’, 3’ x 3’, or 4’ x 4’ size grow tent. If you’re flowering you probably want to stop at about a 3’ x 3’ but you can probably veg with this HLG LED up to about a 4’ x 4’ area.

Chip-on-board for those of you not familiar.
