Magnesium sits at 9.8 percent, all of it water soluble, and sulfur at 12.9 percent. Both come from magnesium sulfate and nothing else is in the bag. There is no nitrogen, no phosphate and no potash, which is why this belongs in the corrective column rather than the feeding one. Magnesium is the atom at the centre of every chlorophyll molecule a plant builds. Short it and the leaf cannot hold its green, which is where the classic interveinal yellowing on older foliage comes from. Sulfur is running alongside at a higher percentage than the magnesium, and it goes into the amino acids and into the enzyme work behind them. The material is agricultural grade rather than a bath product. It dissolves cleanly in water for a foliar spray, and it can equally go dry to the base of a plant. The bag is four pounds and the manufacturer code is LG7220. It is OMRI Listed, so a certified operation can use it. Certifiers generally expect a documented deficiency, by soil test or tissue sample, before an application is made.

Rates, and When Magnesium Sulfate Is the Wrong Answer

There are two rates and both are worth reading. For a foliar spray, a quarter cup, which is four tablespoons, goes into one to two gallons of water. That mix covers five hundred to a thousand square feet. Two to four applications across a season is the guidance. On soil, around roses and shrubs, a quarter cup goes to the base of the plant early in spring. A follow-up application in summer is optional. Open ground work runs at a heavier rate per thousand square feet. Now the part that matters most. This only does something where magnesium is actually short. Yellowing between the veins has several causes, and iron, manganese and nitrogen deficiencies all produce patterns that get mistaken for it. Iron shows on new growth while magnesium shows on old, which is the fastest field check there is. Adding magnesium into a substrate that already holds plenty pushes against calcium and potassium uptake instead of helping. Confirm the deficiency before reaching for the bag. Where a feed already carries magnesium, check the chart before adding more on top of it.

Key Features

Analysis: 9.8 percent magnesium, all water soluble, and 12.9 percent sulfur

Derived from: Magnesium sulfate, with nothing else in the bag

Grade: Agricultural grade rather than a bath or cosmetic product

Certification: OMRI Listed for use in certified organic production

Foliar rate: A quarter cup per one to two gallons, covering 500 to 1,000 sq ft

Soil rate: A quarter cup at the base in early spring, repeated in summer

Frequency: Two to four applications across a growing season

Bag size: Four pounds, under manufacturer code LG7220

Use case: Correcting a confirmed magnesium shortfall, not routine feeding

Diagnostic: Magnesium shows on old leaves while iron shows on new ones

Technical Specifications

<table style="width:100%; The analysis reads 0-0-50, so there is no nitrogen and no phosphorus in the container at all. What you get is 50 percent water soluble potash, and the whole point is that nothing else rides along with it. That matters when you are correcting a deficiency rather than feeding a crop. A base nutrient moves every element at once, so pushing potassium with a base feed means pushing nitrogen and phosphorus with it. This lets you move one number. It dissolves completely, so a dosing line or a drip emitter will not clog on it. The same powder goes into soil, into a reservoir or onto leaf tissue.

Dosing Potassium Sulfate Without Wrecking the Tank

The rate is small and deliberately so. A sixteenth to an eighth of a teaspoon per gallon is where it starts, applied as needed. That is a powder measured with the small end of a spoon set, not a scoop. At the label dilution a 2 ounce container makes around 200 gallons, so this 2 pound container works out near 3,200 gallons of treated water. Potassium sits at the fruiting and flowering end of the cycle, where it moves sugars, firms tissue and carries into aroma and flavour. It also adds some tolerance to drought and to salinity. Two cautions are worth stating. Potassium competes with calcium and magnesium for uptake, so pushing it hard can show up as a calcium problem a week later. And because it moves EC immediately, read your runoff rather than assuming the base feed numbers still hold.

Key Features

Single Element: At 0-0-50 there is no nitrogen and no phosphorus riding along with the potassium.

Fully Soluble: It dissolves completely, so dosing lines, emitters and foliar sprayers stay clear.

Small Rate: A sixteenth to an eighth of a teaspoon per gallon, applied as needed rather than on a schedule.

Soil, Hydro Or Foliar: The same powder works in a reservoir, in soil and as a foliar application.

Long Lasting Container: At the label dilution a 2 pound container treats in the region of 3,200 gallons.

Fits Any Programme: It sits alongside whatever base line you run rather than replacing part of it.

Technical Specifications

Specification

Value

Guaranteed Analysis

0-0-50

Soluble Potash

50% K2O

Derived From

Potassium sulfate

Solubility

100% soluble

Rate

1/16 to 1/8 tsp per gallon in the reservoir, as needed

Systems

Soil, hydroponic and foliar

Approximate Coverage

About 3,200 gallons of treated water from a 2 lb container

Size

2 lb

Why RAW Potassium 0-0-50 Is Dosed So Lightly

Concentration is the whole point of a single-element powder. Fifty percent of this tub is water soluble potash derived from potassium sulfate. NPK Industries describe it as fully soluble, with nothing left sitting in the bottom of the tank. Nitrogen and phosphorus are both zero, so nothing else moves when you add it. The rate reflects that strength: a sixteenth to an eighth of a teaspoon per gallon in the reservoir. A 2 oz pack makes 200 gallons, which scales to somewhere near 800 gallons for the 8 oz size. The tub itself weighs half a pound. It sits alongside any feeding programme rather than replacing part of one. That is the usual reason a grower reaches for a straight salt instead of a blend.

When a High Potassium Fertilizer Earns Its Place

Two situations justify keeping one of these on a shelf. The first is a deficiency that shows up mid-flower. A heavy fruit load draws potassium down faster than a base feed replaces it, and older leaves start to go at the margins. The second is recipe work, where a grower building a custom solution needs to move one element without dragging nitrogen or phosphate along with it. That precision is the argument for a single salt over a bloom booster. Measure by weight rather than by spoon if the tank matters, because a scoop of powder varies more than people expect. Add it to water that is already moving, let it dissolve fully, then set pH. Two honest limits are worth stating. Sulfate comes along with the potassium and adds to the solution strength. A deficiency that is really a pH lockout will not respond to more potassium at all. Royal Gold blends it from rock phosphate, gypsum, alfalfa meal, basalt, kelp meal, neem seed meal, shrimp meal, Epsom salt, sulfate of potash and dolomite. The guaranteed analysis reads 1-4-2, with 11% calcium and 0.5% magnesium. Most of the nitrogen is slow, with 0.7% water-insoluble against 0.3% that plants can take up right away. Phosphorus leads the label because flower sites and fruit set pull hardest on it once the light schedule flips. That calcium figure is the quiet strength of the blend. It feeds cell walls in swelling flowers and fruit, and it replaces what a heavy season pulls out of the root zone. The ingredients are micronized, so a top-dress breaks down evenly instead of sitting in clumps on the surface. This listing is the 20 lb bag, packed two to a case, and it carries an OMRI listing as well as CDFA registration. Royal Gold makes it in Humboldt County alongside its coco soils, and it works in those mixes or in any living soil or soilless blend.

Working a 20 lb Bag of Organic Bloom Fertilizer Through the Season

Start a week ahead of transplant by mixing one to one and a half cups into each cubic foot of soil. Water it in well so the blend settles before roots arrive. In smaller pots that works out to three to four and a half tablespoons per gallon of media. Once plants are established, top-dress half a cup to a cup per cubic foot, scratch it lightly into the surface and water thoroughly. Repeat that every ten to fourteen days through flower. In open beds, Royal Gold calls for ten cups per hundred square feet before planting, then five to ten cups every four weeks. A cup weighs roughly half a pound, so this bag holds about forty cups. That is enough to pre-amend twenty-six to forty cubic feet of soil, or to prep around four hundred square feet of bed. For aerated tea, brew a cup per ten gallons of non-chlorinated water for up to two days, then apply it full strength or diluted. The bag suits a greenhouse bench, a run of raised beds or a commercial top-dress program where every round uses several pounds. Two cautions are worth knowing before the first round. OMRI lists this blend as Allowed with Restrictions, so certified organic operations need soil or tissue tests documenting the deficiency first. Indoors, expect a strong organic smell for a day or two after each top-dress.

Key Features

1-4-2 Bloom Analysis: A phosphorus-forward feed supports flower set and fruit fill without pushing late nitrogen.

11% Calcium: A heavy calcium charge supports cell walls in swelling flowers and fruit through the final weeks.

Slow Nitrogen Release: Most of the nitrogen is water-insoluble, so it feeds gradually instead of spiking after each application.

Micronized Ingredients: Fine particles spread evenly as a top-dress and break down at a steady pace in the root zone.

OMRI Listed and CDFA Registered: The blend is cleared for organic crop production, with OMRI restrictions tied to documented deficiencies.

Soil, Top-Dress or Tea: One bag covers pre-plant amending, in-season top-dressing and actively aerated bloom teas.

Works in Any Living Soil: It blends into Royal Gold mediums, native soil and quality soilless mixes without a change in routine.

Technical Specifications

<table style="width:100%; Pot by pot, that is three to four and a half tablespoons per gallon of media. During flower, top-dress one to three tablespoons per gallon, scratch it into the surface and water well. Plan on a fresh round every ten to fourteen days. Twelve five-gallon pots at two tablespoons per gallon use about seven and a half cups per round. At roughly half a pound per cup, this bag holds about twenty cups, so it covers two full rounds with some to spare. That makes it a fit for a small tent, a greenhouse bench or a handful of raised beds. For tea, aerate a cup in ten gallons of non-chlorinated water for up to two days and apply it full strength or cut down. A cup goes a long way as brew, so the bag stretches further when most of the feeding goes in as tea. Certified organic growers should note that OMRI lists it as Allowed with Restrictions. Crown Jewels Bloom is Royal Gold's one-part dry feed for anything that flowers or sets fruit. That covers tomatoes and peppers in pots as readily as roses, hibiscus and flowering shrubs. The phosphorus comes from rock phosphate, and gypsum and dolomite supply most of the calcium. Epsom salt adds the magnesium, while kelp meal, alfalfa meal, neem seed meal, shrimp meal, basalt and sulfate of potash fill in the rest. Only 0.3% of the nitrogen is water-soluble, and the remaining 0.7% releases slowly as soil life breaks it down. That low, slow nitrogen keeps flowering plants from flipping back into leafy growth. The blend is micronized, so it sprinkles evenly across the top of a pot without clumping. This bag weighs 5 lb, ships eight to a case, and carries OMRI and CDFA organic credentials. It is mixed in Humboldt County, California.

Using This Fertilizer for Flowering Plants in Containers and Small Beds

Most of this bag will go to work on a patio, a sunny windowsill or a short row of raised beds. For new pots, blend three to four and a half tablespoons into each gallon of potting soil a week before planting. Once buds start forming, sprinkle one to three tablespoons per gallon of soil across the surface, scratch it in and water. Repeat every ten to fourteen days while the plant keeps flowering. A one-gallon houseplant topped up at two tablespoons per round gets roughly eighty feedings from this bag. Gardeners who prefer the watering can can stir up to half a tablespoon into each gallon of water and pour it at the base. An aerated brew at a cup per ten gallons works for anyone who already runs a tea setup. For young or tender plants, start at the low end of each rate and work up from there. Fresh top-dressing smells earthy for a day or two, which matters more for indoor plants than for a deck. The honest limit sits with certified organic farms. OMRI lists the blend as Allowed with Restrictions, so those operations need a documented deficiency before using it.

Key Features

11% Calcium Charge: Calcium supports strong cell walls in blooms and fruit, which helps flowering plants carry a heavy set.

1-4-2 Bloom Ratio: Phosphorus leads the analysis for flower and fruit production without a late nitrogen push.

Container Friendly: Tablespoon-per-gallon rates make it easy to dose single pots, hanging baskets and window boxes.

Watering-Can Tea: Up to half a tablespoon per gallon of water gives a quick liquid feed at the base of each plant.

Slow-Release Nitrogen: Most of the nitrogen is water-insoluble, so feeding stays steady between applications.

OMRI Listed and CDFA Registered: Organic credentials suit home gardens, with OMRI restrictions noted for certified farms.

Five-Pound Bag: About ten cups covers a season of houseplants, patio pots and a small flower bed.

Technical Specifications

<table style="width:100%; The crab meal brings chitin with it, which feeds the soil life that cycles nutrients for the roots. Every ingredient is micronized, so the blend mixes evenly through a batch of soil. This listing is the 20 lb bag, packed two to a case. Keep it moist and let it sit about a week before transplanting. In individual pots, that works out to three to four and a half tablespoons per gallon. Through veg, top-dress half a cup to a cup per cubic foot every ten to fourteen days, scratch it in and water. Beds in the ground take ten cups per hundred square feet before planting and five to ten cups every four weeks after that. A cup weighs about half a pound, so this bag holds roughly forty cups. That re-amends twenty-six to forty cubic feet of soil, or preps around four hundred square feet of bed. It also brews well: a cup in ten gallons of non-chlorinated water, aerated for up to two days, gives a veg tea for weekly drenches. This is a veg feed, so its nitrogen keeps pushing leaves if it stays in the program after plants start to flower. The blend carries a marine smell for a day or two after top-dressing, which is easier to live with outdoors. Certified organic farms should note that OMRI lists it as Allowed with Restrictions. Crown Jewels Grow pairs it with neem seed meal, alfalfa meal and fish bone meal for an organic nitrogen base. Rock phosphate, gypsum, dolomite, Epsom salt, kelp meal, basalt and sulfate of potash fill out the rest of the blend. The result is a 3-2-2 guaranteed analysis with 8% calcium and 0.7% magnesium. One percent of the nitrogen is water-soluble for a quick start, and the other 2% releases as soil biology breaks it down. That pairing gives transplants an early feed and keeps feeding steadily between top-dress rounds. The calcium supports thick stems and firm new growth, which matters in containers that see wind or heavy watering. Royal Gold micronizes every ingredient, so the dry blend works into potting soil without pockets of concentrated fertilizer. Blend three to four and a half tablespoons into each gallon of potting soil and let it rest, moist, for about a week before transplanting. During veg, top-dress one to three tablespoons per gallon every ten to fourteen days, scratch it into the surface and water it in. Eight seven-gallon pots amended at three tablespoons per gallon take about ten and a half cups of the bag. The remaining nine or so cups cover a full top-dress round at two tablespoons per gallon, with some left over. Leafy vegetables, herbs and foliage houseplants respond the same way, since all of them run on nitrogen. For a liquid boost, aerate a cup in ten gallons of non-chlorinated water for up to two days and drench at full strength or diluted. Keep this feed in the veg stage. Its nitrogen keeps pushing leaf growth if it stays in the program once plants start to flower. The meal ingredients also smell like the sea for a day or two after each top-dress, so plan indoor rounds accordingly. The guaranteed analysis is an even 2-2-2, backed by 6% calcium and 0.5% magnesium. Ingredients are poultry manure, fish tankage and Ascophyllum nodosum kelp, so the nitrogen releases slowly as soil life breaks it down. In established beds, Cyco calls for 32.8 oz per 100 sq ft every six to eight weeks. At planting, drop about 1.75 oz into the base of each hole and cover it with a little soil before the root ball goes in. That buffer keeps fresh manure from sitting directly against young roots. Potted plants take roughly the same amount per 8-inch pot as a top-dressing, repeated every three to six weeks. For super soil, the rate is 14 oz per 35 cu ft, mixed through before the batch cooks. Scratch top-dressings in and water them through, since granules left on a dry surface do very little. It carries a farmyard smell. That is worth knowing before spreading it in a small indoor room.

Using a Kelp and Manure Soil Amendment Through the Season

The kelp and manure pairing is what makes this more than a mild feed. Organic matter from the manure and fish improves how the soil holds water, which matters most in sandy or tired ground. Kelp adds trace elements and natural growth compounds that help young plants settle in after transplant. The feeding chart places it from seedlings through established growth, with the Outback Vegetive and Flowering blends covering the heavier feeding. Switch to the Flowering blend a couple of weeks before bloom rather than leaning on this mix alone for flower. The calcium content is a quiet bonus for tomatoes, peppers and anything prone to blossom-end problems. This is not a hydroponic product, and it does not belong in drippers or a reservoir. The smaller bag covers a backyard garden or a season of container top-dressing. The larger bag suits market gardens, raised-bed rows and growers building several super soil batches. Store it sealed, off the floor and away from pets, since manure-based blends attract animals.

Key Features

2-2-2 With 6% Calcium: Balanced slow nitrogen, phosphate and potash plus calcium for cell walls and fruit quality.

Manure, Fish and Kelp: Poultry manure and fish tankage feed soil life while Ascophyllum kelp brings trace elements.

Planting Hole Starter: A measured scoop under each transplant gives roots food to grow into without direct contact.

Super Soil Base: Mixes into bulk soil builds at a per-cubic-foot rate.

Water Retention: Organic matter helps sandy or depleted soil hold moisture between waterings.

Pairs With the Outback Line: Runs ahead of the Outback Vegetive and Flowering fertilizers on Cyco's feed chart.

Technical Specifications

<table style="width:100%; That is why it can go on vegetables, flowers, shrubs, trees and container plants alike. A meal-based nitrogen releases as the soil life breaks it down, over weeks rather than days. A balanced bag suits a mixed garden where nothing wants a surge. The three parts that make a GreenGro bag more than a bag of meal are the same in every size. Biochar is a charcoal with an open pore structure that holds water and nutrient in the root zone and gives soil microbes somewhere to live. Mycorrhizal fungi colonise the roots and extend their reach for water and phosphorus well past where the root hairs stop. A beneficial bacteria blend works the organic matter into forms the plant can take up. GreenGro calls the result regenerative living soil, and the idea is that each application leaves the bed more alive than it found it. The bag is OMRI listed for organic growing. It comes as a 4 lb bag, packed ten to a case, and a 10 lb bag, packed four to a case. The mix inside is the same. GreenGro's directions are the same for every plant type. Apply at planting, then every 4 to 6 weeks in garden beds and every 2 to 4 weeks in containers, and water well afterwards. Containers get it more often because they hold less soil and leach faster, not because the plant in them eats more.

Working an Organic All Purpose Fertilizer Into a Living Bed

An organic all purpose fertilizer is a feed for the soil before it is a feed for the plant. It pays to treat it that way. Scratch it into the top inch or two rather than leaving it on the surface. The meals break down fastest where soil, moisture and microbes meet. Water it in the same day. A dry granule of feather meal does nothing until it is wet. A bed that sits dry for a week after feeding has not been fed. At planting, mix it through the backfill and the bottom of the hole so the mycorrhizae land where the new roots will be. The fungi have to touch a root to colonise it. A granule sitting on top of the bed is a granule the roots may never reach. Keep the feeding schedule by the calendar, 4 to 6 weeks in beds and 2 to 4 in pots, rather than by the look of the plant. A slow organic feed shows a shortage a fortnight after the shortage began, and feeding on the calendar stays ahead of it. Skip the synthetic salts between applications. A high-salt feed sets the microbes back and undoes the point of paying for biochar and a bacteria blend. Mulch over the fed soil in summer so the biochar and the fungi stay moist and the surface does not bake. Store the bag closed and dry. Meals draw moisture and the bacteria blend keeps best cool, so a bag in a hot shed in August is a weaker bag by September.

Key Features

5-5-5 balanced: Equal nitrogen, phosphate and potash from feather, fish and alfalfa meal.

Biochar: Holds water and nutrient and houses the soil life.

Mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria: Extend root reach and release the meals.

OMRI listed: For organic growing.

For everything in the garden: Vegetables, flowers, shrubs, trees and containers.

Schedule: At planting; The guaranteed analysis is 22.0 percent soluble potash, 10.8 percent magnesium and 22.0 percent sulfur, with chlorine capped at 3.0 percent. The magnesium is listed as fully water soluble and the sulfur as combined sulfur. It is derived from langbeinite and nothing else, so there is no blend and no filler in the bag. That single-source composition is what earns the OMRI listing and CDFA approval. Rates depend on where it goes. New garden beds take one to two pounds per hundred square feet, worked in during preparation. Established plantings get one to two tablespoons per plant as a monthly side dressing.

Where a Sul Po Mag Mineral Fits Against Other Amendments

Reach for this when two or three deficiencies point the same direction at once. Magnesium shortage shows as interveinal yellowing on older leaves, potassium as scorched leaf margins, and sulfur as a general pale cast on new growth. Anything that corrects one of those alone risks pushing another out of balance, whereas a mineral carrying all three in fixed proportion cannot. Potting containers take a different approach from beds. Mix one tablespoon per gallon of soil when making up a new batch, or one to two pounds per cubic yard on a larger mix. Established containers get topped up at one to two teaspoons per gallon monthly. Trees and shrubs work to trunk diameter, at half a pound to a pound per inch. The honest limit is that the ratio is fixed by geology rather than by a formulator. A grower who needs potassium alone adds magnesium and sulfur whether the crop wants them or not. Repeat that every two to three months. Outdoors, drop an inch of castings into each planting hole or furrow for vegetables and flowers. Perennials, shrubs and trees take a cup in the hole, and a large specimen can take up to five cups. Along an established row, side-dress about a cup per foot every month or two through the season. Lawns get the whole bag spread across roughly a thousand square feet at the start of the season. For tea, steep two cups in five gallons of non-chlorinated water for a day and apply it within the next day. An aerated brew at the same ratio runs up to a day and a half, and one bag holds enough for about fifty batches. The honest limit is feeding. Castings build the soil and support a fertilizer program, but heavy feeders still need their regular nutrients on top.

Key Features

100% Worm Castings: Nothing else is in the bag, so the castings blend into soil, coco or soilless mixes without changing your feed program.

OMRI Listed and CDFA Registered: Both seals clear the castings for certified organic production as well as home organic gardening.

Near-Neutral pH: The listed range sits close to neutral, so castings mix into most media without a pH correction.

Non-Burning Organic Matter: Royal Gold rates it non-burning, so it can go right against seedlings, cuttings and new transplants.

Fine Granular Texture: The dark granular castings spread evenly by hand, rake or fertilizer spreader across beds and lawns.

Compost Tea Ready: Two cups per five-gallon batch works for both steeped extracts and aerated brews with most inoculants and sugar sources.

Indoor to Outdoor: The bag is labeled for outdoor, greenhouse, houseplant and indoor use, so one product covers every growing space.

Technical Specifications

<table style="width: 100%;
