A: For four of these units we would recommend a grid pattern where each light illuminates approximately a 5' x 5' to 6' x 6' canopy area. The configuration can be in any orientation, but the intensity is slightly higher on the sides of the fixture than it is on the front and back i.e., there is less intensity shooting out from the poles of the DE lamp than there is from the sides of the lamp.

A: The Gavita Pro 1000 E-Series DE 120-240V Fixture will run on 120 or 240 volts. If your wanting to run this fixture at 208v you would be fine, you would just use the 240v cord. However, if you are an international customer, these fixtures are only recommended for use in the US and Canada. Gavita has a supplier for Europe with fixtures and products suited for use with the hertz available in foreign countries.

A: We never sell used product. Also, the pictures online are not always 100% accurate in how the product will look. However, we do not open products prior to shipping them. It is possible the manufacturer packaged a defective bulb. If the bulb is not working please fill out an RMA form (which can be found here; http://growershouse.com/returns), and we will get you a working product ASAP.

A: The Gavita Pro 1000 E-Series DE 120-240V Fixture is a complete package. This model already has its ballast built in! However, Gavita makes other hoods and reflectors with which you could definitely use a ballast from a different company, granted it's of a compatible wattage.
