Video Transcript:

Hey everyone it's Nate with Growers House and today we got in the Stealth Grow SG 1250 [HO (high output)]. Now this is the largest model made by Stealth Grow, and you know I think this is one of the largest, most high-quality, and expensive LEDs on the market. Now this LED is 650w actual draw, but what they say is a 1200w equivalent to your conventional HPS (high pressure sodium) or MH (metal halide), so any HID bulbs. Now this unit actually will pull about 3.4 amps. And it is comprised of--which is unique--eight 50 watt arrays, and then the rest will be a combination of two watt diodes. When you purchase this unit you will get a free pair of handy dandy Stealth Grow glasses, which you might need when you turn this guy on.

I'm going to show you the array without the light turned on so that you can take a look. If you can see here, the reflector is a white finish so that it can reflect over your growing area, which Stealth Grow recommends about a 4' x 6' footprint while using this unit. You can see here the large arrays, which there are eight of, are 50 watt. The rest of the diodes are comprised of two and one watt diodes in a mixed spectrum so you can use this light from Veg through to Flower.

What I want to do quickly is turn this guy on. Brace yourselves. We'll see what this guy looks like. Tom (cameraman) I hope you have your safety glasses on. Now hopefully the camera can focus in on this. You'll see a combination of reds, blues, whites, yellows and oranges. That's to cover different nanometers for your spectrum, so that your plants get a full spectrum that this light recreates from the sun. This light is turned on right now and it's pretty quiet. It has eight axial fans on the top that are pulling the heat out over heat sinks, and that should keep this light much cooler than if you were running 1200 watt of HID.

Let's take a look. This guy is a pretty good sized unit. It's about 33 inches long, 22 inches wide, and about 8 inches high. This unit is pretty good sized. It weighs a good amount, actually about 47 pounds. It's a pretty hefty unit. What we're going to do now that we have it here is put it over a footprint, a 4'x4', and take some PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) readings, and we'll be sure to put that in a link below.

So here are the PAR readings for the Stealth Grow SG 1250 over our 4'x 4'. We measured it at 12" above the footprint, 18" above the footprint, and 24" above the footprint. Be sure to click on the link below for the Infographic and check out our website because we've tested other LEDs in this same way. Be sure to see some of the other LEDs we're going to test in the future so that you'll be able to compare them to this one. That's it for today. This is Nate with Growers House.
