The OrganiPlug tray arrives as a finished insert of 50 cells. Every cell already holds a 1.25 in plug that is wet, pH balanced and ready for a cutting. Nothing needs soaking, counting or pressing into place, so a clone session goes straight from mother plant to tray. The insert drops into a standard 10 in by 20 in tray, and the single tray comes with its own catch tray underneath. Each plug is OMRI listed coco coir, peat moss and biochar, held together with an all-natural, food-safe binder. A proprietary nutrient blend carrying Trichoderma, a beneficial fungus, is already in the plug when it leaves the pouch. White growth on the surface is that fungus, and it is a good sign. Cuttings go in snugly until they stop roughly halfway down, then the whole tray sits under a dome at 70% to 100% relative humidity. Seeds take the same hole at the same depth and want a warm, dark spot until they crack. In nursery trials, clones rooted about 20% faster in these plugs than in other leading brands.
