Common Culture Bio Trellis Netting 4 ft Wide, by the Bulk Roll

This is commercial plant-support netting on a single long roll, cut to whatever lengths the rows need. The roll is 4 ft wide and 3,280 ft long, roughly 1,000 meters, with an open 6 x 6 in square. One layer from a full roll covers about 13,120 sq ft of canopy. The net is high-density polyethylene that resists UV, chemicals, rot and rust through several growing seasons. What changes is its end of life. Common Culture builds in an additive that converts the plastic at the end of its useful life into a material with a different molecular structure. At that point it degrades in the open environment instead of persisting as plastic. The netting complies with FDA and EU food-contact regulations, so it can sit against edible crops. A 4 ft width matches the standard rolling bench and the narrow raised bed, so there is little trimming on install. It also suits single-row vertical walls for vining crops.

Installing 6 Inch Trellis Netting in Layers or on a Wall

Laid horizontally, 6 inch trellis netting lets stems grow up through the squares and lean on the grid. Nobody spends harvest week tying plants to stakes. Run posts at each end of the bench and tie the net to cross bars at the heights you want. Most growers set a first layer early in flower and a second higher up as the canopy stretches. Spacing the plants so each square holds one or two tops spreads the canopy evenly and opens airflow through the middle. Tighten the edges with string or monofilament so the net does not sag under heavy colas. For vertical use, set posts every 20 to 25 feet and run a support cable along the top before hanging the net. Tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and peas climb it with no extra tying. Common Culture also makes the Trellis Slayer 9000, a trellis mover built to speed up pulling spent netting at harvest. Plan removal around the season, since the degradation is meant for end of life rather than mid-crop.

Key Features

  • 4 ft by 3,280 ft Roll: One roll covers long runs of 4 ft benches or beds without splicing.
  • 6 x 6 in Squares: An open square gives stems room to pass through and still finds support at every layer.
  • Degradable at End of Life: An additive converts the HDPE so it breaks down in the open environment after use.
  • Food-Contact Compliant: FDA and EU food-contact compliance makes it suitable for edible crops.
  • UV and Chemical Resistant: The net holds up to sun, sprays, rot and rust across multiple seasons.
  • Horizontal or Vertical: Works as layered canopy support or as a climbing wall for vining crops.
