Yellow Impact boards are attractive to a wide range of insect pests including aphids, whiteflies, thrips, fungus gnats, fruit flies and leaf miner flies. These traps are an essential tool to detect new pest outbreaks and to help with decision-making.
Effective Monitoring
Monitor weekly from the start of cropping by placing one trap per 200m ² and recording the number of pests per trap. Hang the traps vertically, with the base about 10 cm above the top of the crop, and move them upwards as the crop grows. For mass trapping, use one trap per 20m ² with extra traps every 2m2 in hot spots. Replace after 6 to 8 weeks or sooner if covered in insects.
