CO2 tanks

Compressed CO2 tanks & regulators are essential pieces of equipment for CO2 enrichment-supplementation. Compressed CO2 come in all sizes from tiny 8-gram cartridges and bottles to large 100lb high-pressure tanks, with 20-50 lbs tanks being the most common and can be one of the most controlled ways of injecting CO2 to your grow space. The initial investment in parts is the most expensive aspect of adding CO2 to your grow room after that refills are pretty cheap.

Plants need CO2 as part of the process of making energy from light via photosynthesis. Without enough CO2 your plants will "suffocate" and die. For CO2 enrichment to be the most effective, you want to maintain levels up to 1500 PPM of CO2 in your grow space with very bright light. Supplementing with CO2 in this way makes your plants more resistant to heat and light stress.

Compressed CO2 is best for smaller grow spaces (up to 10x10) and should only be released during the time that the lights are on. Buying tanked or bottled CO2, combining your enrichment method with a CO2 regulator or timer lets you automate everything.
