What Bud XL Does in the Second Half of Bloom

This is a late cycle additive rather than a base feed, and the distinction is the whole point. House and Garden describes it as a blend of soluble nutrients. It supports the movement of the plant's own sugars from the leaves into the flowering sites. It is used from mid bloom through late bloom and on into harvest, not from the day of flip. The label reads 0.4 percent total nitrogen, of which 0.38 percent is nitrate and 0.02 percent ammoniacal, alongside 0.2 percent soluble potash. It is derived from ammonium nitrate, nitric acid and potassium hydroxide. Those are deliberately small numbers, because the product is not there to carry the crop. The base feed does that, and this rides alongside it. The rate is one millilitre per litre, which works out at 3.8 millilitres per gallon.

Using a Flowering Additive Without Overloading the Tank

Late bloom is the stage growers most often overcook. Every additive in the cupboard looks relevant at week six, and the reservoir ends up carrying more salt than the plant can use. The rate here is low for a reason, and holding to it matters more than doubling it. House and Garden states the formula contains no dyes, no synthetic plant growth regulators and no detectable heavy metals. That is the first thing a testing lab looks for. It works in both soil and hydroponics and across any medium, so nothing in your existing setup has to change to accommodate it. Storage has a real effect on a product like this. Keep sealed bottles between 45 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and use an opened one within a year. A bottle that has spent a summer in a hot nutrient room is not the same product you bought.

Key Features

  • Mid To Late Bloom: It goes in from mid bloom through harvest rather than from the day the lights flip.
  • One Millilitre Per Litre: A low, fixed rate that works out at 3.8 millilitres per gallon across the whole window.
  • No Synthetic PGRs: House and Garden states no dyes, no synthetic plant growth regulators and no detectable heavy metals.
  • Any Medium: It runs in soil and in hydroponics without a change to the rest of the programme.
  • Published Analysis: 0.4 percent total nitrogen and 0.2 percent soluble potash, with the inputs named on the label.
  • Storage Window: Sealed bottles keep between 45 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and an opened one is used within a year.
