Ventana Plant Science Liquid and Commercial Nutrients

Ventana Plant Science makes two nutrient programs: a six-bottle liquid line for home and craft rooms, and a dry commercial line mixed in stock tanks. Commercial Grow and Bloom supply nitrogen as nitrate, with chelated micronutrients. Silica, microbes, seaweed and pH control round out the range....

Hold the feed in range with our pH up and down, and start cuttings with Radix from our root stimulators. Both sit in the wider nutrients range.

Types of Ventana Nutrients

Six-Part Liquid Line

Grow 0-1.5-4 and Structure silica run with Support 4-0-0 for the first 6 weeks, at 10 to 20 and 2 to 4 mL per gallon. Flower 0-3-4 goes in at 15 to 25 mL per gallon once buds form, with Expand 0-4-4 as the booster. FlaVUH 4X rounds it out, and the Complete Nutrient Line Kit bundles all six.

Commercial Dry Program

Commercial Grow 7-14-33 and Commercial Bloom 2-26-41 are spray-dried powders, stable in stock tanks up to 1:200. Each needs Calcium Nitrate (17-0-0, 23.5% Ca) and Magnesium Sulfate (9.8% Mg, 13% S) for a complete feed. Rates assume 25 W per sq ft of light. The 5 lb Commercial Kit pairs Bloom with both.

Additives and pH Control

Commercial Silicon uses stabilized silica nanoparticles, and Commercial Microbes blends four bacteria with five mycorrhizal species. Commercial Seaweed is a 0-0-14 powder from Ascophyllum nodosum. pH Up is 45% potassium hydroxide, and pH Down + Line Cleaner clears salt and biofilm from lines.

How Growers Use Ventana Nutrients

Dilute each liquid before adding the next, and never combine Grow, Flower or Structure concentrate with concentrated cal-mag. Under brighter or dimmer lights than 25 W per sq ft, start low and adjust. Run pH Down + Line Cleaner only between cycles, to a pH of 2.0 to 3.0 at the emitters.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Ventana Plant Science feed chart?

It splits the liquid line into two phases. In growth, Grow, Support, Structure and FlaVUH run together. In flower, Grow comes out while Flower and Expand go in, with Support, Structure and FlaVUH carrying on. FlaVUH comes out for the flush. Exact rates are on the chart linked from the kit page.

Can you mix calcium nitrate with magnesium sulfate?

Ventana keeps them apart in concentrate. For fertigation, calcium-based and magnesium-based fertilizers each get their own stock tank, or go on after Commercial Grow or Bloom. That is why the Commercial Kit ships as three parts: Bloom, Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium Sulfate.

What is FlaVUH?

It is Ventana's amino acid additive, named for volatile unsaturated hydrocarbons, another term for terpenes. The 4X Concentrate is a 4-0-4 made from soy protein hydrolysate. Its polymerized amino acid holds positively charged minerals so they stay in solution. Use 3 mL per gallon, diluted first.
