CANNA Coco A: The 4-0-1 Half of the Coco Base Feed

Part A is the nitrogen side of CANNA's coco base feed, labelled 4-0-1. It is half of one fertilizer that CANNA splits across two bottles. The reason is chemistry rather than packaging. A coco feed needs high levels of calcium and phosphate, and held together as concentrates those elements react and drop out as a slimy residue. Kept apart and diluted one after the other, they stay available to the roots. That is why Part A is sold alone here, with Part B on its own page. Buying the halves separately lets a grower restock whichever jug empties first, or move up to a drum without buying a matching set. The label rate is 0.5 fl oz per gallon, or 40 mL per 10 L, and Part B goes in at exactly the same rate. CANNA puts the combined window at an EC of 0.8 to 1.8 mS/cm over clean source water. The target pH sits between 5.5 and 6.2.

Mix it into the reservoir water first, stir well, and only then add Part B. Never pour the two concentrates into the same measuring cup, even for a moment. The drum and the caged tote are for facilities on dosing injectors, with Part A on one head and Part B on another. Those two big formats need a pump, a spill tray and floor space, so they only make sense for a grow that will empty them. Store any size sealed, out of direct light and away from frost. On its own this is not a complete feed, and plants given Part A alone will run short of phosphorus quickly.
