Extraction Equipment + Solvents

Extraction equipment separates resin from harvested plant material, from bubble bags and rosin presses to lab ovens and rotary evaporators. Pick bags or a wash machine for ice water, a rosin press for heat and pressure, or vacuum ovens and solvents for a permitted lab.

Extraction Equipment + Solvents

Extraction Equipment: Solventless, Rosin, Lab and Solvents

Extraction equipment turns trim and flower into concentrates, from ice water and dry sift to rosin and lab-grade solvent work. This collection covers Triminator, Bubble Magic, The Press Club, GreenBroz and Lowtemp. BVV and Across International lab gear, Harvest Right freeze dryers and high-purity solvents round it out....

Extraction equipment infographic: bubble bags and washers, rosin presses, vacuum ovens, rotovaps, freeze dryers, solvents

Each method has its own page: bubble bags and sifters, rosin and heat presses, and drying ovens and freeze dryers. All sit in Harvesting + Processing.

Types of Extraction Equipment

Solventless: Ice Water and Dry Sift

Bubble Magic and Press Club bag sets run 25 to 220 micron in 5 and 20 gallon sizes. The Triminator Maker washers come in 20 and 60 gallons, with 0 to 500 RPM and ten stored wash programs. The GreenBroz Alchemist dry sifter tumbles trim against 130 micron screens.

Rosin Presses and Bags

The Triminator TRP applies 25 tons through 6 x 10 in platens, each with its own PID controller. The Lowtemp V2 Medusa links up to five 4 x 7 presses to one operator. Press Club bags come in nine grades from 15 to 220 micron, with seams rated past 20 tons.

Lab Equipment and Solvents

BVV Neocision vacuum ovens pull below 500 microns, and the Across International AccuTemp heats from five sides to 480 F. Neocision rotary evaporators run up to 50 L flasks. Harvest Right freeze dryers, BVV hydrocarbons at 99.5% purity, Pyur lab solvents and 99.9% isopropyl alcohol complete the range.

How Growers Use Extraction Equipment

Pick the method first, then the gear that fits your volume. Solventless setups need ice, water and screens. Solvent work belongs in a ventilated, permitted lab with a system rated for that solvent. Use 99.9% isopropyl to clean tools and surfaces between runs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is solventless extraction?

It separates resin from plant material with water, ice, cold, heat or pressure instead of a chemical solvent. Ice water washing uses agitation and micron bags, dry sifting uses screens, and rosin uses heat and pressure. Bubble bags, Triminator washers and rosin presses all fall in this group.

What micron bubble bags do I need?

A full 8 bag set runs 220, 190, 160, 120, 90, 73, 45 and 25 micron. The 220 is the work bag that holds the material. The 190 and 160 catch coarse plant matter, and the 120 to 73 range is where most growers find the grade they want.

What is a vacuum oven used for?

It heats material under vacuum, so solvent and air leave at lower temperatures than in a standard oven. Across International lists purging and degassing as its main jobs. The BVV Neocision 1.9 cu ft model holds temperature to ±1 F and pulls below 500 microns.
