What the Dosatron D14MZ2 Does Without Power

There is no cord. Line pressure drives the piston, the piston draws concentrate in proportion to flow, and the mix leaves downstream at the ratio you set. Rate holds whether the line runs at 0.05 or 14 GPM, and pressure can sit anywhere from 4.3 to 85 PSI. Dose range is 1:500 to 1:50, which is 0.2 to 2%.

Reading the Model Code on a Water Powered Doser

The suffix is not decoration. On a water powered doser the letters after the model tell you what you are getting, and nobody explains them. VF is Viton seals, which handle the acids and fertiliser salts that degrade a standard seal. BP is the integral bypass, so plain water can run the same line without pulling the unit. HY is the hydroponic build. Beyond the code, the numbers that matter are dose and connection. Injection runs 7.5 to 75 mL per gallon through a 3/4 in NPT body in polypropylene.
