AC Infinity IONBEAM S16 Full-Spectrum Bars for the Lower Canopy

This IONBEAM is a four-bar LED kit, and its job is to light the part of the plant your main fixture misses. Each bar is 15.98 x 1.12 in and carries 18 Samsung LM301H EVO diodes, so the kit holds 72 diodes in total. The whole set draws 42W from a 100–240V input and converts it at 3.14 µmol/J. That is a small load, roughly what a laptop charger pulls from the wall. The spectrum mixes 3000K and 5000K white, which reads as a full-cycle tune that suits veg, clones and flower alike. Housings are unibody aluminum rated IP65, so a humid tent or an accidental hit from the sprayer will not kill them. Operating range runs from 32 to 140°F at 35–85% RH, and AC Infinity rates the diodes for 50,000 hours. Four steel mounting strips come in the box, and the bars snap onto them magnetically. Most growers screw the strips to the tent poles at mid-canopy height and aim the bars sideways into the plants. The included controller gives ten brightness levels with OFF, ON and SCHEDULE modes on a 99.8 in power cord.

Supplemental Grow Light Bars That Stay Useful After Flip

As supplemental grow light bars, these earn their keep mid-flower, when the top light is buried under a closed canopy. Side lighting keeps lower bud sites building instead of turning into larf you trim off and throw away. Start the dimmer low and bring it up over a few days, because leaves that sat in shade can bleach when they suddenly get lit. The same kit also works as the only light over a propagation shelf, where clones and seedlings want gentle, even output. Hang the bars a hand's width above the trays and they will not stretch the cuttings. The controller also plugs into an AC Infinity UIS controller, which lets the app set schedules, climate triggers and CSV data logs. Be realistic about what this kit is, though. AC Infinity publishes no PPF or PPFD figure for it, and that small wattage will not flower a tent on its own. Bigger rooms or longer walls call for more bars or a larger IONBOARD or IONFRAME fixture overhead. In a two-by-two or two-by-four tent, it is one of the cleanest ways to add light without adding heat.
