What the Niwa CO2 Sensor Adds to a Grow Hub
This remote sensor module adds CO2 measurement to a Niwa Grow Hub. It takes the place of the hub's existing sensor module rather than plugging in alongside it. Once it is in, the hub keeps reporting VPD, temperature, relative humidity, light level and dew point. CO2 then joins those readings on the live dashboard in the Niwa app. The sensor works with every Grow Hub model and runs only through a hub, not as a standalone meter. Setting Up a CO2 Sensor Module in the Grow Room

Unplug the old module, plug in the new one, and confirm the readings appear in the app. Hang the sensor at canopy height, where the plants actually take up CO2. Keep it out of the direct path of a CO2 emitter or burner so one burst does not skew the reading. Shield it from fan blast and direct light, both of which can throw off the other readings it carries. Set alarm limits in the app for the CO2 range planned for each stage of the crop. Run enrichment only while the lights are on, since plants use CO2 during photosynthesis. Close the exhaust during enrichment periods so the added gas stays in the room. Review the logged CO2 data after a few days to see how fast levels fall when the supply stops. Wipe dust from the sensor housing between crops to keep airflow to the sensor clear.
