How the CenturionPro Gladiator Trimmer Is Built

The Gladiator is a two-tumbler commercial trimmer that handles wet or dry flower. Each dual-purpose hybrid tumbler is 30 in long and 6.5 in across, made from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel. Below them run two hardened steel cutting reels with 11 blades each, for 75,000 cuts per minute. Rated output is up to 75 lbs per hour wet or 15 lbs per hour dry. A 4 HP leaf collector pulls leaf onto the reels through an 8 in food grade hose for a close, even cut. A diverter tunes airflow, and it also lets two strains of the same type run side by side, one per tumbler. Trim then separates in the triple-bag system, with leafy trim in the inner bag and kief in the micron bag. The body and main parts are anodized aluminum and stainless steel. The trimmer measures 30 x 25 x 28 in and runs on 120V at 7 amps. The leaf collector draws 22 amps on 220V, and its cord ships without a plug. The trimmer carries a 10-year warranty and the leaf collector three years.

Running a Centurion Gladiator Through Harvest

A Centurion Gladiator suits a mid-size harvest where several hand trimmers would otherwise be needed. Have an electrician fit a plug and a dedicated high-voltage circuit for the leaf collector before harvest day. Run each session all wet or all dry rather than mixing the two. For dry trimming, aim for flower at about 11% moisture, with 8 to 13% still workable. Load both tumblers evenly from the hopper so the reels share the work. Open the diverter for airy flower and close it down for dense flower that needs a tighter cut. Empty the micron bag often, since kief builds up quickly at this volume. After the run, pressure wash the body and wash the tumblers in warm, soapy water. Check the reels and blades between harvests so the cut stays clean. Keep a spare tumbler on hand if strains change often, so one can dry while the other works.
