Dutch Lighting Innovations CRI-Series 315W CMH, a low-profile single-lamp fixture
DLI, a Dutch lighting company, builds this as a single-lamp ceramic metal halide fixture with a very shallow housing. Its #FLOWERSONLY reflector is electrochemically brightened high-purity aluminium with a 99.99% pure aluminium layer and a dual-layer oxide finish. Hemispherical reflectance is over 95%. Setting up a 315W CMH fixture in a low-ceiling room
Low ceilings are where this housing pays for itself. Every inch the fixture does not take up is an inch between the lamp and the tops, which matters in basements and converted bedrooms. Its footprint is roughly four by four feet for a single fixture. DLI designed the reflector wide, for small rooms or for mixing with sodium and UV fixtures in a larger layout. Level each fixture with the built-in bubble before the first strike, because a tilted reflector throws a lopsided pattern across the canopy. The zone controller lets a whole row switch together, and the diagnostic light tells you which unit faulted without climbing a ladder to guess. Given that inrush figure, avoid striking a full row on one small breaker at the same moment. There is no dimming beyond on and off, so intensity comes from hang height. It is also heavier than most 315W fixtures, so check the hanging points in a tent frame. DLI makes a matching CRI-Series 930 protected lamp at 3100K for this housing.
