Tyvek desiccant strips that hang from a hook at canopy height and pull moisture out of the moving air where wet material actually sits. Absorb-only chemistry takes on up to 158% of its weight and stops working at 50% RH, so a room cannot be over-dried.

Integra Hanging Desiccant for Drying Rooms Works at Hang Height

Moisture collects at hang height, which is precisely where most desiccant is not. This format goes up there with the material. Each strip is three heat-sealed Tyvek bags on a perforated cardboard header. A riveted plastic hook lets it hang from a wire or a rack without any fixings. The chemistry is calcium chloride, absorbing up to 158% of its own weight in moisture. Integra sizes it at roughly 5 g per cubic foot of enclosed space, and a strip runs up to 90 days in light duty. A case holds six strips. They go up with the material rather than sitting on the floor beneath it.

Hanging Desiccant for Drying Rooms, and What It Cannot Do

This is a one-way desiccant, and the distinction is the important part. It absorbs moisture and gives none back, so it cannot hold a room at a number the way a two-way pack holds a container. It also stops working below 50% RH, which is a floor rather than a fault. That means it will not over-dry a room, and it also means it is no use once a room is already dry. An active dry with wet biomass will work through a strip faster than the 90 day figure suggests. It is a partner to a dehumidifier rather than an alternative. It earns its place in corners and at heights where air movement never quite reaches. Spent strips are replaced rather than dried out. And for holding cured material at a setpoint, a two-way Boost pack is the tool, not this.

Key Features

  • Absorb-Only Chemistry: Takes moisture out and holds it, so it cannot feed humidity back into a room mid-dry.
  • 158% Absorption Capacity: Each strip takes on well over its own weight in water before it stops working.
  • 50% RH Absorption Floor: Goes quiet below 50% RH, so an unattended room cannot be pulled down too far.
  • Hangs at Canopy Height: Draws from the moving air beside hanging material instead of the still layer at the floor.
  • Zero Floor Space Used: Nothing to walk around in a packed room, and fan placement stays where you set it.
  • Three Heat-Sealed Tyvek Bags: Strip construction spreads the draw along its length rather than from one point.
  • Plastic Hook and Cardboard Header: Hangs off a wire, a rail or a trellis line with no extra hardware to source.
  • Six Strips Per Case: Enough units to distribute coverage across a room and cover dead corners.
  • Non-Toxic, No Hazardous Materials: Spent strips go out with ordinary waste, with no reclaim procedure to run.
  • Works Without Power: No outlet and no condensate line, so it serves rooms a dehumidifier cannot reach.

Is This a Two-Way Humidity Pack?

No. It is absorb-only. It removes moisture from a room and never releases it, which is the opposite job from a Boost pack inside a sealed jar.

Hanging Strips or the Bucket Format?

Hang when the room is full and you need draw at canopy height. Use the bucket when total capacity matters more than placement and floor space is free.

How Many Strips Does a Room Need?

Work from about 5 g of desiccant per cubic foot of enclosed space. Measure room volume first, then divide across the units you are hanging.

Can It Over-Dry a Drying Room?

No. Absorption stops at 50% RH. That floor is why these get hung and left alone rather than checked against a hygrometer every few hours.
