Hanna Checker pH Tester / Meter
The HI98103 Checker is the next generation of the original Hanna Checker pH tester. The Hanna pH Checker is the most popular pH meter in the world with over 1 million meters used since its introduction in 1991. From gardeners to researchers, the Hanna pH Checker has been helping people with their pH measurement as a meter that is simple to use and operate.
At the cost of just a few rolls of litmus paper, you can have the industry's best pocket-size pH tester, the Hanna pH Checker. The Checker supplies you with fast and accurate readings from 0.00 to 14.00 pH with a resolution of 0.01 pH. This compact tester features a large easy-to-read LCD and a simple to perform 2-point calibration. The pH electrode of the Checker can be replaced; simply unscrew the electrode from the meter body and screw on a new one. The Checker is fast, accurate, and lightweight. Testing pH has never been easier!
The Hanna HI98103 Checker pH tester has been designed with many advanced features while maintaining the look and feel of the original Hanna pH Checker. The redesigned Hanna pH Checker now offers automatic calibration to one or two points, automatic buffer recognition, calibrated buffer tags, stability indicator, low battery indicator, and selectable automatic shut off.
The Hanna Instruments HI98103 has a replaceable electrode. When the electrode needs replacing simply remove the old electrode and attach the new HI1271 electrode.
- Economical”“ The Checker is a full-featured pH tester at a price that anyone that needs to measure pH can afford.
- Large LCD”“ Enhanced LCD that displays reading, stability indicator, low battery indicator and calibration tags.
- Replaceable pH Electrode”“ The HI1271 supplied gel filled pH electrode tapers to an 8 mm diameter at the sensing end. This narrow electrode easily fits into test tubes, vials, and other containers with small openings.
- Automatic Calibration”“ The Checker is calibrated automatically to one or two points. The calibration buffers are automatically recognized and after calibration the buffer values used are shown on the display as a tag.
- Stability Indicator”“ An hourglass indicator is displayed on the LCD until a stable reading is obtained. Once a reading stabilized the indicator disappears and a reading can be recorded.
- Automatic Shut-Off”“ The meter can be set to automatically turn off after 8 minutes or 60 minutes to conserve battery life in the event that the meter is left on. The auto off feature can be disabled.
- Long Battery Life”“ The Checker Plus has an exceptional long battery life of approximately 1000 hours. When the battery power is running low a low battery indicator is displayed.
HI98103 Checker is supplied with HI1271 pH electrode, HI70004 pH 4.01 buffer solution sachets (2 x 20 mL), HI70007 pH 7.01 buffer solution sachets (2 x 20 mL), HI700601 electrode cleaning solution sachets (2 x 20 mL), instruction manual, instrument quality certificate and plastic carrying case.

Hanna pH4 Calibration Solutions -- 16 oz
Hanna's buffer solutions are made from established formulas and are standardized with a pH meter calibrated to NBS/NIST primary standard buffer solutions. Now the pH 4 buffers carry lot # and expiry date as well as pH/C chart on every bottle. HI 7004L/C and HI 8004L/C are also supplied with an analysis certificate.
Hanna pH 4 buffers contain potassium hydrogen phthalate. They are standardized using a pH meter calibrated by primary standard buffer solutions (NIST 186 Ie, NIST 186 IIe and NIST 185g S.R.M.). The pH value is certified traceable to NIST 185g S.R.M.
Hanna pH7 Calibration Solutions -- 16 oz
All Hanna pH7 calibration solution bottles come with a pH Vs. temperature chart together with the production lot # and expiration date to guarantee maximum accuracy.
Formulation Hanna pH buffers are made of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and disodium hydrogen phosphate and are standardized with a pH meter calibrated to NIST primary standard buffer solutions (NIST 186Ie & 186IIe and NIST 158 g S.R.M.).
