Aqua Flakes Starter Kit for Recirculating Hydro Systems

Recirculating systems need a base that stays clean and stable in solution for days at a time, and that is the job of Aqua Flakes. This bundle is built around 1 L of Aqua Flakes A and 1 L of Aqua Flakes B, House & Garden's two-part base for hydroponics. Both parts go in at equal amounts, 0.5 to 3 mL per liter each, scaled to the stage on the feed chart. The rest of the bundle handles growth and flowering. 1 L of Multi Zen supports rapid growth through veg and the first weeks of flower at 1 mL per liter. 1 L of Bud XL comes in for mid and late bloom at the same rate, pushing sugars toward the flowers for density and aroma. Two sachets of Shooting Powder add phosphorus and potassium across the last three weeks. A 250 mL bottle of Roots Excelurator rounds out the root side from cuttings into early flower. Once opened, the bases keep best stored between 45 and 85°F and used within a year.

Running a Hydroponic Base Nutrient in a Recirculating Reservoir

A hydroponic base nutrient lives in the reservoir for days, so how it goes in matters. Fill the tank most of the way, add Aqua Flakes A and circulate, then add B and circulate again. Putting both parts in at once lets them react before they dilute, leaving sediment in pumps and lines. Set pH after the base, then add the stage additives on top. In DWC, NFT and ebb-and-flow tables, top up between changes with plain pH-adjusted water and watch EC drift. Rising EC means plants are drinking more than eating, while falling EC means they are hungry. Shooting Powder goes in at one sachet per 25 gallons for the first late-flower week, then two sachets for the final two. Change the reservoir fully on a regular schedule, since recirculating water collects what roots leave behind. The bundle sizes up well for a single tent or small room. Bigger reservoirs drain the base first, so keep extra Aqua Flakes A&B on the shelf.
