What the Method Seven Resistance Corrects Under HPS

Sodium light lies to you. It floods a room with yellow, so a deficiency, a mildew spot and a healthy leaf all read much the same. These lenses use notch filtering, blocking the narrow bands HPS over-produces and letting the rest through. Colour comes back. You can judge a leaf without walking it outside.

Wearing HPS Glasses Through a Full Shift

Glass is the difference in this model. Lenses are German mineral glass made for Method Seven by Carl Zeiss, not the polymer used further down the range. Glass holds its optical surface and resists scratching, at the cost of a little weight. The frame is TR-90, thermo-injected, designed in California and made in Italy. It runs slightly wide with rubber grip nose pads, so it suits an average to large face and holds position in a warm room. Protection is 100% UV and the current build carries an ANSI Z87+S rating, which matters if your site requires certified eyewear. They also work under CMH and outdoors, so they are not shelved when a room changes over.

Key Features

  • Notch filtering, not tinting: It blocks the bands HPS over-produces and passes the rest, so colour returns.
  • German mineral glass by Carl Zeiss: Glass holds its optical surface and resists scratches better than polymer.
  • TR-90 frame, made in Italy: Thermo-injected polymer, designed in California. It flexes rather than snapping.
  • Rubber grip nose pads: A slightly wide fit that holds position on damp skin in a warm room.
  • 100% UV and ANSI Z87+S: Certified eyewear, which some commercial sites require as policy.
  • Also CMH and outdoors: Not a single room tool. They stay useful when you change a room over.
