What an X Nutrients Micro Quart Carries
Micro is the constant in this line. Grow comes out at the flip and Bloom goes in, but this bottle stays in the tank from the first watering to the last. The guaranteed analysis is 3.3-0-1.3, and the elements behind those numbers are nitrogen, soluble potash, calcium and iron. Phosphorus is zero here by design, because that job belongs to the other half. The name causes confusion worth clearing up: despite being called Micro, most of what is in the bottle is macro. Boron, copper, manganese, molybdenum and zinc are not in it. They sit in the Grow and Bloom bottles instead, so the pairing is not optional. Like the rest of the line it is pH buffered, holding the tank where you set it once the adjustment is made. A quart weighs 3.0 lb and holds 946 mL. The base is inorganic and there is no OMRI listing on any size.
Why Calcium and Iron Have Their Own Bottle
Those two elements are the reason this formulation exists separately at all. Calcium reacts with phosphates and sulphates in a concentrated tank and drops out as a solid. That is why nobody puts it in the same bottle as the phosphorus half. Iron has a related problem downstream. Push the solution alkaline and it precipitates out entirely, so a tank drifting high is running without iron no matter what the label promised. Keeping both in their own container and mixing them separately into water is what avoids the whole problem. The practical rule follows from that. One product at a time into the reservoir, never premixed together in a jug, with pH set at the end. Rate is 15 mL a gallon as a general figure, and there is a week-by-week chart for anything more precise. Feed at every watering in soil or coco, and change a recirculating reservoir every one to two weeks. The honest limit is that this bottle on its own is not a feed. Run it without a partner and the plant is short of phosphorus in a fortnight.
Key Features
- Guaranteed analysis: 3.3-0-1.3, carrying nitrogen, soluble potash, calcium and iron
- Runs all cycle: Pairs with Grow in vegetative growth and Bloom through flower
- Not in the bottle: Boron, copper, manganese, molybdenum and zinc, which are in Grow and Bloom
- Why it is separate: Calcium and phosphorus precipitate if concentrated together in one jug
- pH buffered: The formula holds the tank at the figure you set it to
- General rate: 15 mL per gallon, with a separate week-by-week chart
- Bottle volume: 946 mL, about 63 gallons of finished feed, 3.0 lb on the shelf
- Certification: Inorganic based and carrying no OMRI listing
