What BioSafe OxiPhos Does in One Pass
Two actives do two different jobs here, and that is the whole argument for the product. Mono and di-potassium salts of phosphorus acid make up 27.1 percent, carrying 17.7 percent phosphorus acid. Hydrogen peroxide accounts for another 14.0 percent. The peroxide oxidises pathogens on contact, on leaf surfaces and in the root zone. The phosphite component moves systemically and turns on the plant's own defence response. EPA registration is 70299-22 and the signal word is DANGER. Labelled targets are Phytophthora and Pythium species, downy mildew, powdery mildew, bacterial blights and root rots. Foliar rate is two and a half to five quarts per acre, never above a 2.5 percent solution in water. As a drench it goes in at 12.8 to 25.6 fl oz per 100 gallons, applied at one to two pints per square foot. Restricted entry is four hours for spraying and zero for chemigation, drench, seed treatment and greenhouse work. Pre-harvest interval is zero days.
Phosphorus Acid Salts, and the Tank Mix Line on the Label
Phosphorus acid salts are not phosphate fertiliser, and confusing the two is common. Phosphite is taken up and used as a signal rather than as a nutrient source. That is why the label reads as disease control and not as a feed. One line on that label contradicts what gets said about tank mixing. It is widely described as tank mixable. The label instructs the opposite: do not apply it alongside any other pesticide or fertiliser, because performance drops. Anyone who has been mixing it into a weekly tank should read that line. Application routes are wide, covering foliar spray, drench, drip and overhead irrigation, root and transplant dips, and fogging. Undiluted handling needs coveralls, rubber gloves, chemical resistant footwear and eye protection, because the concentrate causes skin burns. This is the two and a half gallon container, which suits a nursery or a single range rather than field acreage.
