Why an Eco-Friendly Garden Hose Filter Restricts the Flow

The restrictor is the part people misread as a defect. Carbon works on contact time, and a wide-open bib drives water past the media faster than adsorption can happen. Both medias are eco-friendly by the vendor's own description, in a recyclable housing that is replaced rather than refilled. It will not move your PPM, though, since dissolved salts pass straight through carbon and KDF. Hard or sodium-heavy source water is a job for reverse osmosis instead.
