What an External Vacuum Pump Has to Do Here
An external vacuum pump is required, and that is the single most important line to read. The oven gives you a sealed, heated chamber and a port, and nothing that moves air. The port is a quarter-inch JIC fitting, and a five-foot HVAC hose comes in the box. A USA power cord and an operation manual come with it as well. Now the vacuum numbers. The chamber holds a deep vacuum below 0.1 torr. The fitted gauge reads from minus one to minus thirty inches of mercury. Reading that depth takes a micron gauge rather than the fitted inHg gauge. Maximum vacuum is minus 29.9 inches of mercury, or 75.4 centimetres of mercury. Leak rate is under one inch of mercury lost over twenty-four hours. That is the figure worth testing on arrival, because it is the one that ages.
