Running a Bubble Hash Machine for Cleaner Washes

A bubble hash machine only works as well as the temperature you hold. Keep the water at or below about 40°F with roughly equal parts ice and water by volume. Load the 220 micron bag with layers of ice and material, zip it shut, and set it in the tub. Experienced users run lighter loads than the tub could hold, because crowding grinds plant matter into the final product. One grower guide suggests about 250 g of dry trim or 500 g of fresh frozen per run. Start with short cycles, such as three 5-minute washes for fresh frozen material. Dry trim benefits from a pre-soak and slightly longer cycles. Drain through the bag stack between washes and collect each grade separately. Dry the resin cold and away from light. Rinse and dry the tub after every session so residue does not build up in the drain.
