How the Active Aqua Infinity Tray Center Builds a Continuous Bench
Most bench trays end where the tray ends. These do not. Center panels nest into each other, so a 4 ft wide bench runs as one uninterrupted surface for as long as the room allows. The 4 ft end caps carry the designated drain sections. At 2.5 in tall and with no arch lip, the panel gives back the working space a raised rim normally takes. The shell is 10 to 15% thicker than typical bench trays, made in Canada from BPA-free virgin plastic capped over a recycled ABS core.
Sealing and Sizing an Interlocking Bench Tray Run
The seams are glued, not clipped. Run a wide bead of Loctite 5510 along the groove of the negative end, at least an inch in from the edge. Press the positive end of the next panel down over it. One tube seals about four seams. Weight the joint if you can and leave it 24 hours before moving anything. The adhesive is not fully cured for seven days. Move finished runs with two people, since flexing a long tray is what pulls a joint apart. Two limits are worth planning around. Flood and drain runs should not exceed 64 ft, so a longer room starts a second station with its own end cap. And the Loctite is sold separately. Budget a tube for every four seams when you are costing out a full bench. Dry-fit the whole run before any adhesive comes out of the tube.
Key Features
- Nesting panels for custom lengths: Build a bench to the room rather than cutting the room to fit a fixed tray length.
- 2.5 in height with no arch lip: Low profile that gives back the working space a raised rim normally takes from the bench.
- 10 to 15% thicker than typical bench trays: More material in the shell, which is what resists flex on a long glued run.
- BPA-free virgin cap over recycled ABS core: Recyclable construction made in Canada, and it does not block UV light bandwidths.
- Shallow grooves for cleaning: Less place for residue to sit between runs than a deep-channel tray.
- Works with standard 4 ft benches: Drops onto existing 4 ft benching, and pairs with the Rolling Floating Aisle Bench System.
