A Grow Control System That Needs No Relay Panel

Eight programmable outlets are built into the enclosure, each rated 120V at 15A. Equipment plugs straight into the front. There are no external relays to wire and no contactor panel to mount, which is the whole point of this model. Eight analog sensor channels come off the same box. It ships with an aspirated climate sensor on a 15 ft cable reading air temperature, relative humidity and light irradiance. Two zones can run independently, so a veg room and a flower room share one controller. Hot-fire prevention and output delay sequencing are standard, which stops every load starting at once when power returns. Alarms go out by email or MMS, and the unit logs and trends what it reads. A serial port is standard and Ethernet is a paid option. The enclosure is powder-coated sheet metal and the warranty runs three years.

What the AgrowTek GC-Plus Actually Switches

The function set is where this differs from a plug-in thermostat. Timers come in nine flavours: repeat cycle in minutes or seconds, 24-hour, cancellation, scheduled cycle, off-delay, re-start delay, operation band and hour meters. Lighting gets two timers with secondary delays plus a light-flip control for flip-box rooms. Climate gets two heating stats, four cooling stats, two humidify and two dehumidify stats, plus evaporative cooling limits. Carbon dioxide injection and ventilation each get a boost timer. Dosing is the part most controllers skip. One nutrient control carries four proportional stages, batch dosing and sixteen scheduled setpoints, plus separate pH up and down stages. For loads above the outlet rating, RX1 relays and CX contactors take a trigger cord and switch 240V gear. The honest limit is the interface. A touch screen is an option rather than standard, and without one you configure it from the PC software.
