Anden A210V1 Dehumidifier: 210 Pints a Day on a 15 A Circuit

The Anden A210V1 dehumidifier is an industrial-grade refrigerant unit built for indoor growing rooms. It removes 210 pints of water a day at 80°F and 60 percent RH. Efficiency is rated at 3.0 L/kWh, or 6.3 pints per kWh. Incoming air crosses an evaporator coil that drops it below its dew point. Moisture drains away, and the condenser coil reheats the air before it leaves the unit. The coil is copper tube with aluminum fins and an i-coat protective finish. A 525 CFM blower discharges air horizontally. The unit runs on 208-240V single phase at about 7.2 A and 1,450 W. A 10 ft cord ends in a NEMA 6-15P plug on a 15 A breaker, and hard-wiring is field-configurable. Total heat load into the room is 4,950 Btu/h. The cabinet measures 19.5 in wide, 18.75 in high and 30.125 in long, and it weighs 118 lb. A 14 x 18 x 2 in MERV 11 filter protects the coil. The drain is a 3/4 in FNPT connection that does not need a P-trap. Leveling feet and four hanging brackets come with the unit. The box also holds the Model A77 control, a barbed drain fitting, 10 ft of drain tubing and 30 ft of thermostat wire. Anden covers all parts, including the refrigeration system, for five years.

Placing an Industrial Grow Room Dehumidifier

The A210V1 can stand on the floor, hang from the ceiling or sit outside the room on ducts. On the floor, adjust the feet so the unit is level and the drain hose slopes down the whole way. To hang it, slot the four brackets into the base and screw them to the cabinet sides. The brackets accept threaded rod up to half an inch in diameter. Add vibration isolators where noise is a concern. Over finished areas or product, set a condensate pan with a float switch under the unit. The float switch wires to dedicated terminals on the control board in place of a factory jumper. For a ducted install, duct kit 5790 fits the unit, with a maximum external static pressure of 0.2 in w.c. Space units evenly, and avoid pointing one unit's discharge at another unit's inlet. Keep the inlet away from cold supply registers, which cut moisture removal. Leave at least 6 in in front of the inlet for filter changes. Mount the A77 at or near canopy height, shielded from direct HPS lighting. The A77 sets humidity from 35 to 80 percent RH with a 3 percent differential. Without an external control, the blower samples room air for three minutes every 15, 30 or 45 minutes. Continuous sampling is also available from the installer menu. Anden rates the operating range at 60 to 85°F, with a dew point between 40 and 75°F.
