Anden A320V3 Dehumidifier: 277V Power for Commercial Facilities
The Anden A320V3 dehumidifier is the 277V version of Anden's A320 platform, built for facilities that distribute 277V power. It is rated at 320 pints of water a day at 80°F and 60 percent RH. Efficiency is 2.6 L/kWh, or 5.5 pints per kWh. Power is 277V single phase at 60 Hz, drawing 9.1 A and 2,450 W. A 10 ft SJT cord ends in a NEMA L7-20P twist-lock plug for an L7-20R receptacle. The plug can be removed when the unit is hard-wired instead. The specified breaker is 20 A. Inside, an evaporator coil cools incoming air below its dew point and the water drains off. A condenser coil reheats the air before it leaves the cabinet. Both coils use copper tube and aluminum fins with an ElectroFin E-coat. The blower delivers 830 CFM through a 20 x 22 x 2 in MERV 11 filter and discharges horizontally. Total heat added to the room is 7,900 Btu/h. The cabinet measures 32.625 in wide, 24 in high and 24.25 in long, and it weighs 180 lb. Four hanging brackets, a P-trap kit with fittings and 10 ft of drain tubing come with it. The Model A77 control and 30 ft of 4-wire thermostat cable are also in the box. Anden covers every part, including the refrigeration system, for five years.
Wiring and Controlling a 277V Industrial Dehumidifier
Run the supply circuit to the unit following local and national electrical codes. For a hard-wired install, disconnect power at the breaker and remove the side panel. Release the strain relief, pull the factory cord, and land the service wires on the terminal block and ground lug. Then refit the side panel before restoring power. The A320V3 accepts the included Model A77 or any external control that provides a dry contact closure. Set the dehumidifier user interface to Remote when the A77 is used. For any other external control, set it to External in the installer menu. Mount the A77 near canopy height and away from direct lamp heat. Because the blower pulls air through the cabinet, the drain runs under negative pressure. The included P-trap is therefore required on the 3/4 in FNPT drain connection. Prime the trap with about 2 pints of water once the tubing is connected. For overhead mounting, the brackets take threaded rod up to half an inch in diameter. Floor installs need the separate 5789 leveling feet kit, plus blocking to clear the trap. Duct kit 5807 is available, with a maximum external static pressure of 0.2 in w.c. Leave at least 6 in in front of the inlet so the filter can be changed.
