Aranet TEROS12 Wireless Dongle Adds Substrate Telemetry to PRO Networks
The dongle is the wireless transmitter half of an Aranet substrate-sensor pair. Wire a METER TEROS-12 probe into the dongle and the moisture, EC, and temperature stream broadcasts to an Aranet PRO or PRO Plus base station. A single AA battery powers the unit. Battery life runs about two years at a two-minute polling cadence, up to ten years at ten-minute polling. The TEROS-12 sensor itself is not included with this SKU.
Line-of-Sight Range Built for Multi-Room and Greenhouse Footprints
Pairing takes place within 20 m of the base station. Once linked, the dongle holds connection at up to 3 km of clear line of sight. Lithium AA cells extend operating range to -40°C to 60°C. That keeps the unit usable in greenhouses that swing hot in summer and cold in winter. Substrate telemetry flows into the same Aranet PRO dashboard that handles air sensors. Crop-steering decisions reference both root-zone and canopy data on one screen.
