TerraLINK Wireless Sensor Architecture with Years of Battery Life
A single 1.5 V AA lithium cell powers the radio for up to ten years on a normal monitoring schedule. The transmitter wakes briefly, polls the SDI-12 probe, sends the VWC, EC, and substrate-temperature payload to the base station, and goes back to sleep. Aranet PRO 12, PRO 50, PRO 100, and PRO Plus base stations all accept the node. Pick the version that matches your row count and IP rating. Field swaps stay simple: pull the probe cable from the head, drop in the replacement transmitter, re-pair through the SensorHUB web server.
