Athena IPM is a contact insecticide and fungicide that takes down spider mites, aphids, whitefly and powdery mildew. Run it as a foliar spray or a low-rate root drench, seedling through harvest.
Athena IPM Insecticide Works on Contact
Athena IPM is the jug most growers reach for once the scouting cards start filling up. It's a contact insecticide and fungicide built on peppermint, lemongrass and geranium oils at 1.5% each, with citric acid at 0.05%. Those oils smother eggs and juveniles, dry out soft-bodied adults, and leave enough scent behind to keep new growth quiet. Nothing travels systemically, so there's no re-entry window to plan around and no reason to pull it from the rotation.
Foliar Rates and Root Drench for Powdery Mildew and Spider Mite Control
Most of the work here is preventative, and that's where it earns its keep. A foliar at 50–60 mL per gallon, two or three times a week, holds powdery mildew and spider mite control before either gets a foothold. When something does get through, step up to 90–120 mL per gallon over three passes, three days apart. Coverage is everything. Get the leaf undersides and the tight crevices where colonies start, and give plants a rest day if you see wilting. The same jug drops to 5–10 mL per gallon as a root drench when fungus gnats show up in the media. The 32 oz handles a tent, the gallon and 5 gallon carry a weekly program, and the 55 gallon drum feeds tote-scale mixing.
