An AutoPot Expansion Kit, Not a Standalone System

This adds two more sites to an easy2grow run that already exists. It is not a system on its own; there is no reservoir and no tank in the box. The tray holds two 2.2 gallon pots side by side under a single lid. An AQUAvalve sits in the tray and does the work. When the tray runs dry the valve opens, refills to a set depth, then closes and waits. That wet and dry cycle needs no pump, no timer and no power at all. Gravity feeds it from whatever tank the parent kit already uses. Two root control discs go under the pots to keep roots out of the valve. A 1.5 m length of quarter-inch pipe comes with it. Two tee fittings let you cut into the existing line.

Plumbing the 2Pot Extension Kit Into a Run

Head height is the thing that catches people out. The tank has to sit above the tray or the valve cannot fill, and a few inches of lift is usually enough. Keep the line short and free of kinks, because narrow pipe does not forgive a tight bend. Feed strength matters more here than in hand-watered pots, because nothing ever flushes. The pots take up what they take up and the salts left behind stay behind. Most growers on this system run a lighter mix and flush the medium on a schedule instead. The honest limit is scale: two sites at a time means a big room turns into a lot of trays. Check the discs each cycle, since a root through the valve is the common failure. Clean the valve between runs and it will outlast the pots.
