BIOCANNA Bio Boost: A Fermented Additive for the Flowering Phase

Bio Boost is a flowering additive from CANNA Research, built on a naturally fermented plant base with a mineral component added. The label reads 0-1-0, which tells you straight away that it is not a feed. It carries almost no nutrition by itself. Its job is to support the plant's metabolism during bloom while the base nutrient does the feeding. The standard rate is 0.27 fl oz per gallon, or 20 mL per 10 L. CANNA lists an enhanced rate of 0.5 fl oz per gallon for growers pushing harder. It goes in at the start of the blooming phase, usually one to three weeks after flower initiation. CANNA is clear that it is not certified organic and contains no microorganisms. That matters if you are running an organic certification program, where it will not qualify.

Where a Bloom Enhancer Fits in the Flowering Feed

Mix it into the tank with your BIOCANNA or CANNA base, which is the pairing CANNA designed it for. It can go on by hand or through the irrigation lines, and spray stake emitters deliver it best. Most schedules carry it from those first weeks of bloom on through flower at the same steady rate. Start at the standard dose and only move to the enhanced one once you know how the cultivar responds. Never combine it with anything containing hydrogen peroxide, a pairing CANNA rules out. CANNA says to use up mixed solution within seven days, so mix what the room will get through in that window. The brown jerrycans store best sealed, in the dark and away from frost or heat. Growers on CANNA's mineral lines usually pair their feed with CANNABOOST instead. For growers on the BIOCANNA line, this is the bottle made to sit with it.
