OxiPhos operates through a dual mode of action that ensures comprehensive defense against pathogens. Its systemic action allows plants to absorb soluble potassium salts (potassium phosphite), which metabolize to form phosphorus acid, effectively inhibiting mitochondrial energy production and blocking essential enzymes in pathogens. This limits pathogen growth and proliferation within the plant. Additionally, OxiPhos' contact action utilizes hydrogen peroxide to oxidize pathogens' cell membranes upon contact, leading to the immediate destruction of the cell structure through an oxidation-reduction (redox) process.
The versatility of OxiPhos allows for various application methods, including foliar sprays, root drenches, or tank mixing with ZeroTol ® 2.0 and AzaGuard ®.
