CANNA Spigot for 20L Cans Takes the Lifting Out of Mixing

A full 20 L can of CANNA nutrient weighs close to 50 lb. Tipping one to fill a measuring cup is how concentrate ends up on the floor. This is CANNA's SPIGOT20, the tap made for those large cans. It screws on where the factory cap was and turns the can into a dispenser you never have to lift. A lever on top opens and closes the flow. The CANNA mark is moulded into the barrel, which separates it from generic jerrycan taps. Generic taps come in several thread sizes, so check the fit before substituting one. It is the larger of CANNA's two spigots, and the two sizes do not interchange.

Setting Up a Pour Spout on a Full CANNA Can

Take the original cap off and keep it for moving or storing the can later. Thread the spigot on hand-tight and make sure it sits flat on the neck. Lay the can on its side on a sturdy shelf or low bench. The tap should sit at the lowest point, just past the edge. A measuring cup or jug fits underneath, and the draw is controlled from the lever. Crack it open gently at first, because a full can pushes concentrate out harder than you would expect. As the level drops the flow slows, so tilting the can slightly forward keeps it running. Close the lever completely and wipe the outlet after each use so nothing dries in the barrel. On a busy mixing day this saves more time than any other accessory on the bench. It will not fit the 5 L or 10 L jugs, which take the smaller SPIGOT510. Rinse it with warm water before moving it to a different product.
