CANNA sells its base feeds and additives in 5 L and 10 L jerrycans, and pouring from a full one by hand is where most spills start. This part, CANNA's SPIGOT510, screws on in place of the factory cap. It stands about 2 in tall with a 1.88 in body, so it adds almost nothing to the footprint on the shelf. A lever on top opens the flow and closes it again. The CANNA logo moulded into the barrel is the quickest way to tell it from generic jerrycan taps. Those come in several thread sizes, so check the fit before substituting one. Each spigot handles one container at a time, so most growers keep one per product they mix most often.

Pouring From CANNA Nutrient Containers Without the Mess

Unscrew the original cap and keep it, because the jug will need it again for transport or storage. Thread the spigot on hand-tight and check it seats flat before the first pour. Lay the jug on its side at the edge of a shelf or bench, with the spigot at the lowest point. A measuring cup or graduated cylinder then sits right under the outlet. Open the lever slowly for the first few millilitres, since concentrate comes out faster than you expect from a full jug. Close it fully before walking away, and wipe the outlet so residue does not crust in the barrel. The difference shows over a season of mixing. There are fewer sticky rings on the shelf, less concentrate wasted, and far less guessing about how much went in. It is a pouring aid, not a doser, so the measuring still happens in the cup. It does not fit the 1 L bottles, and the 20 L cans take their own larger spigot. Rinse it with warm water when switching between products so one feed does not contaminate the next.
