CenturionPro Dry Batch Trimmer Model 4 With Timer and Speed Control
Two dials run the DBT4: one sets drum speed, the other sets how long each batch tumbles. Turn the timer clockwise for a fixed run, or counter-clockwise for continuous trimming while you watch the finish. The drum is 20 in in diameter and 66 in long, long enough to hold a serious batch of cured flower. Rated throughput is up to 108 lbs of dry weight per hour. A 1/4 HP motor drives it through the speed controller, drawing 3 A at 110V. Plan floor space for a footprint of 67 x 36 x 53 in and a machine weight of 240 lbs. The drum pivots on a plunger lock, tipping up to load, leveling to run and angling down to empty into totes. Fill it 40 to 60 percent with buds of similar size. Most batches finish in 1 to 15 minutes, checked every few minutes until the crew learns each strain. Flower around 8 to 10 percent moisture gives the cleanest cut. A cool room at 50 to 60°F keeps resin from loading the blade sheet.
Built for a Large-Scale Harvest Without Rough Handling
Soft tumble action keeps the cut gentle even when the batches get big. There is no blower dragging buds across a screen and no lubricant on the blade sheet. Buds roll gently against the plastic sheet, so trichomes stay on the product rather than in the trim bin. Once a strain is dialed in, the timer makes every batch repeat the same way. It does not replace an operator, though. Stay with the machine while it runs and switch it off when stepping away. An optional sorter conversion kit turns the same frame into a size grader in a few minutes. It separates finished flower into four grades for packaging. Cleaning stays manageable, with the tumbler out in about two minutes and the aluminum frame wiped with isopropyl alcohol or soapy water. A parts kit with eight roller assemblies, a blade sheet, holders, brush and two collection bins covers routine wear. Rotate the blade sheet every ten hours of running. The motor also needs an hour off after five hours of steady use. Its size is the real commitment, so measure doorways before delivery day.
