As the stem passes, the buds pop off and drop into a bin while the bare stalk exits the other side. Pull speed runs 10 to 30 in per second with more than 400 lbs of pull strength. Rated throughput reaches 125 lbs per hour wet and 25 lbs per hour dry. A gear-driven 0.75 HP motor rated IP54 turns at 1,690 RPM and draws under 6 A at 120V. The frame is 304 stainless steel and aluminum, sized 22 x 16 x 20 in, and weighs 97 lbs. It is rated for continuous duty on a 15 A circuit. The machine carries GMP, UL, CE and RoHS compliance.

Running a High Performance Bucker Through Harvest Day

Continuous feeding is what makes it fast. One operator can keep stems moving into the rollers while another handles the bins, and the machine never stops to reload. Variable speed lets you slow things down for delicate dry branches or run faster through wet, freshly cut stalks. If a stem lodges, reverse operation backs it out without opening the machine. A motor pulse function helps clear stubborn pieces. Most strains run cleanly, though very dense or oversized top colas may need breaking down before feeding. Clean the rollers after each use with an isopropyl spray and a soft cloth. Full teardown and cleaning takes about ten to fifteen minutes. An optional rolling stand raises it to a working height and makes moving it between rooms easier. A parts kit with roller assemblies, springs, gears and slide bearings covers the wear items. The motor is not GFCI compatible, so plan on a standard grounded outlet. Weight is a consideration too, and two people should lift it onto a bench.
