CVault 8L Curing Storage Container Holds a Pound Airtight

Eight liters of 18/10 food-grade stainless steel measuring 10" across and 7" deep, closed by a patented latch and a ¼" silicone gasket. That is about a pound of dry plant material sitting in the dark, with no UV reaching it. This is the size most operations settle on when jars stop making sense. A pound in glass means three or four large jars, each with its own seal to check and its own light exposure. One vessel replaces all of that. The 4 L below it holds about eight ounces and the 21 L above it holds two pounds. The lid holder is built for Boveda or Humidipak packs and takes two at this size.

A Commercial Curing Container Sized for Pound Batches

It runs two 67 g 62% RH Boveda packs rather than one, because eight liters of headspace needs the extra buffering. Each 67 g pack is rated to a pound on its own, so the pair gives margin when the lid comes off daily. Lids take non-permanent marker and the bodies stack, which is how a cure room keeps batches separated without a labeling system. Note the two packs are not included, so budget for them alongside the container. That is the one place this size differs from the smaller CVaults, which each ship with a pack in the box. Boveda holds ±2% of its labeled figure in a container this tight. Replacement runs on roughly a three-month cycle, and the packs are read by feel rather than by a card. The 67 g packs are stocked as singles, in a 6 pack and by the case, which suits a room set up for curing.

Key Features

  • 18/10 Food-Grade Stainless Steel: Holds no odor and takes commercial handling without denting like thin-wall tins.
  • Completely Light-Tight Body: Blocks the UV that fades and degrades material sitting in clear glass.
  • ¼" Silicone Gasket Seal: Pulls flat under the latch so ambient air does not creep in between openings.
  • Patented Airtight Latch: Built for repeated commercial opening rather than the lighter closure on personal sizes.
  • 8 L Capacity: Sized at about 1 pound of dry plant material, matched by two 67 g packs.
  • Writable Lid Surface: Non-permanent marker wipes off, so one container follows several batches.
  • Stackable Body: Vertical storage keeps a cure room organized without extra shelving.
  • Lid-Mounted Pak Holder: Keeps both packs off the contents and out of the way when scooping.

How Many Boveda Packs Does a CVault 8L Need?

Two 67 g packs. Each is rated to a pound individually, so the pair holds 62% RH steady across the full eight liters.

How Much Can a CVault 8L Hold?

About one pound of dry plant material. The 4 L holds roughly eight ounces and the 21 L steps up to two pounds.

Does an 8L CVault Need Burping During Cure?

No. Two-way Boveda regulation corrects moisture in both directions, so the container manages itself instead of needing daily lid cracks.

Is the Latch on the Commercial Sizes Different?

The 8 L uses a patented airtight latch and seal built for repeated commercial opening, rather than the lighter closure on the personal sizes.
