What General Hydroponics Diamond Nectar Adds to a Feed
This amber liquid carries humic acids that bind nutrient minerals in solution and move them toward the root zone. That action helps growing plants take up and use the trace minerals already in the feed. The guaranteed analysis is 0-1-1, with 1% available phosphate and 1% soluble potash. Those come from phosphoric acid and potassium hydroxide, while the humic acids are listed as a non-plant food ingredient. The standard rate is 5 mL per gallon for soil, soilless and hydroponic systems. Heavy-feeding programs can run up to 10 mL per gallon while watching total EC and plant response. It goes into the reservoir after the base nutrients, before the final pH adjustment. It is compatible with all fertilisers, all soil types and all hydroponic solutions. It also fits straight into the Flora Series feed program. The product is not classed as hazardous, and colour can vary from batch to batch because the humic acids are natural. This quart is a practical size for a tent or a small run of reservoirs.
Using a Humic Acid Additive Through the Grow
A humic acid additive earns its place in recirculating systems and coco, where every mineral in the tank needs to reach the roots. Start at the standard rate from rooted cuttings onward and keep it in the feed from veg through flower. Mix base nutrients first, add the humic, stir well and then check pH and EC. Expect a small rise in EC, since the product adds dissolved solids of its own. Replace it with every full reservoir change rather than topping up blindly. In soil, add it to each feeding so the root zone sees a steady supply. Very dark leaves or clawed tips point to an overall feed that is too strong, so step the base back first. It does not stand in for calcium, magnesium or a bloom booster, so keep those in the program as needed. Store the bottle sealed, upright and out of direct sun, in a cool, dry spot. Use an opened bottle within one growing season for the most consistent results.
