What the DimLux Expert Series Puts in One Housing
Ballast, reflector and lamp, built as one unit. DimLux has since moved the range on, so what is here is remaining stock rather than a current line. The Xtreme ballast runs 600 to 1200W across seven dim levels plus a soft off, feeding a Philips Greenpower 1000W 400V EL lamp.
How the Alpha Optics 98 Reflector Handles Light
One bounce, then down. The reflector is pressed from 98% reflective Miro Silver aluminium. It is shaped so a light wave touches the surface once before it leaves. DimLux calls this Single Bounce Clear Sight. Less time inside the reflector means less absorbed on the way out, and less light re-entering the lamp. Both side panels adjust, so you can pull the pattern in from a wall or spread it across a bench. The open design leaves the lamp passively cooled, which helps its life. A 50 mm port on top takes a duct if you want the heat pulled off the lamp instead. The ballast carries soft start and soft dim, diagnostic LEDs and a processor that cuts power on a bad lamp contact or a short. Add a Maxi Controller and up to 160 fixtures run together on stepless dimming.
