Why the DimLux 1000W Comes in a 277V Build
Voltage decides the wiring, not the light. This is the same Expert Series fixture as the 240V version, built for a 277V supply. That is what a commercial three phase panel usually offers. The line is discontinued, so what is here is remaining stock.
Running a 277V Grow Light on a Commercial Panel
The reason to pick 277V is copper. A 480V three phase panel gives you 277V line to neutral. Running fixtures there rather than at 240 cuts the current for the same wattage. Lower current means smaller conductors and more fixtures on a breaker, which is where the saving lands on a big install. Everything else matches the range. The Xtreme ballast gives 600 to 1200W over seven dim levels and a soft off, with soft start, soft dim and diagnostic LEDs. The reflector is Alpha Optics in 98% Miro Silver aluminium, with adjustable sides and a 50 mm extraction port. A Philips Greenpower 1000W 400V EL lamp comes with it, and the ballast steps the supply internally so a 400V lamp runs from mains.
