What the DimLux Nanotube Adds to the Expert Series
A duct through the fixture. The Nanotube draws air in parallel across the lamp rather than around the outside of the reflector. That holds the lamp at its ideal temperature instead of letting it run hot. DimLux rates the gain at up to 20% more lumens against passive cooling.
Running an Air Cooled Reflector Without Losing Output
Most air cooled designs cost you light. Put glass between the lamp and the canopy and some of the output stops there. That is the trade every sealed hood asks you to make. This one keeps the Alpha Optics reflector open and pulls the heat through a separate path instead. The reflector still works on Single Bounce Clear Sight, in 98% Miro Silver aluminium, with adjustable sides and a 50 mm port on top. Electrically it is the standard Expert Series. The Xtreme ballast runs 600 to 1200W across seven dim levels, with soft start, soft dim, diagnostic LEDs and a fault cut-out. A Philips Greenpower 1000W 400V EL lamp is included. Two notes before you commit. This is made to request, with roughly a 30 day lead time, and DimLux has discontinued the line.
