Small doses on a big pipe. Ratio runs 1:3000 to 1:800, which is 0.033 to 0.125%, or 1.25 to 4.85 mL per gallon. Flow still covers 2.2 to 40 GPM. That pairing is what acid, sanitiser and trace element work needs, because a stronger injector cannot reach low enough.

Plumbing a 40 GPM Injector Into a Main

A 40 gpm injector gets plumbed once and left alone, so the fittings matter as much as the pump. This one is sold as a kit: mounting bracket, suction hose, bypass, union, weighted strainer and the quick start guide. The union is the part people forget, because without one, servicing means cutting pipe. The bypass earns its place the same way. It lets plain water run the line for a flush without pulling the unit out. Body is 1-1/2 in NPT, pressure tolerance is 2.2 to 116 PSI, and seals are Viton for acid work. It stands about 26-3/8 in by 8-1/2 in at 12 lbs, and feed water should stay under 104 F.
