Why the Dosatron D14MZ3000 Doses So Low

Precision beats strength here. Ratio runs 1:3000 to 1:333, or 0.03 to 0.3%, which is 1.25 to 11 mL per gallon. Flow covers 0.05 to 14 GPM on 3/4 in NPT. Anything metered in parts per million needs a range like this, because a 1:50 unit spends its whole adjustment in the first turn.

Running a Nutrient Injector Off Line Pressure

Water does the work. A nutrient injector of this type has no motor and no controller. Line pressure drives a piston and the piston draws concentrate in proportion to the water passing through. The ratio holds whether the line is barely open or wide. Pressure can sit anywhere from 4.3 to 85 PSI. Seals are Viton, chosen for acid and fertiliser salts, and the bypass lets plain water through for a flush. The housing is polypropylene, 21 in by 6-5/16 in, at 6 lbs. Feed water stays under 104 F. It ships with a 6 ft suction tube, strainer, weight, mounting bracket and the manual.
