Application rates

Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds:
To prepare new gardens, apply 1-2 lbs per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3″ of garden soil in spring or fall. For new transplants, add 1 tbsp per hole, mix into soil and water in well.

Row Crops/Acreage:
Apply 75-150 lbs per acre. Apply in early spring, either pre-plant or with seed, or in the fall, post-harvest. Can be applied to all crops.

Containers:
For new plantings, add 1-2 tsp per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly OR add 1-2 lbs per cubic yard. For established plants, lightly mix 1-2 tsp per gallon into the soil surface every other month during the growing season.

Lawns:
In spring and fall, apply 10 lbs per 1,000 square feet and water in well. Results may be enhanced if applied following aeration. For new lawns, apply 10 lbs per 1,000 square feet and mix into top 3″ of soil before seeding or sodding.
