How the Turbair Electrafan Makes 50 to 60 Micron Droplets
Droplet size comes from a spinning disc rather than a nozzle. Liquid is flung off that disc into a stream of moving air. That is why it stays tight at 50 to 60 micron VMD rather than scattering the way pressure atomising does. The airstream then carries those droplets 10 to 20 feet. It runs on 12V DC, and the TEF-12 version includes the battery and the charger.
Using a ULV Spinning Disc Sprayer Where Air Is Still
Still air indoors is exactly the case this was built for. Without natural movement, a conventional sprayer wets the top of the canopy and leaves the underside dry. An air-assisted stream pushes droplets into places gravity will not take them. Typical application runs 20 to 40 litres per hectare for water-based mixes, and a charge gives roughly 90 minutes of use. Two points are worth care in use. Only formulations cleared for ULV application belong in it, and the label matters more than usual, because a fine droplet changes coverage and re-entry timing.
Key Features
- 50 to 60 Micron VMD: Tight droplet band from the spinning disc, not a nozzle.
- Air-Assisted Delivery: Carries droplets where still indoor air will not.
- 10 to 20 ft Reach: Covers deeper into rows and benches from one position.
- 12V DC Operation: Cordless and portable, about 90 minutes per charge.
- Battery and Charger Included: The TEF-12 ships ready to run.
- 20 to 40 L per Hectare: Typical low-volume rate for water-based mixes.
- Lightweight and Portable: Carried by hand for spot treatment.
