980 CFM Is the Top of the 12 Inch Inline Fan Range

This is the largest fan in the EcoPlus Classic line and it behaves like it. 980 CFM through 12 in ducting will exchange a large sealed room quickly, or push a heavy filter and a long run without stalling. That capacity is the point. Under-loaded it is just loud for no reason, so this is the wrong fan for a tent. The steel powder-coated housing and attached brackets handle the extra weight and vibration that come with a 12-inch wheel.

Running a High CFM Inline Fan Without Fighting It

Big fans reward planning. Keep duct runs short and elbows few, because at this diameter every bend costs real airflow off the free-air rating. Hang it from the attached ceiling brackets with the duct supported either side so the collars carry no weight. It runs on a standard 120V cord. Speed is set externally, so a controller is worth wiring in from the start rather than living at full output. Five years of warranty comes with it. Check the filter load every few weeks, since a clogged filter quietly steals output. Give the intake a clear path, or the fan just pulls against itself.
